How about Manhattan, Kathleen? have you tried there? Did you put your app in with the NYC BOE? I remember the year I did that Iwas getting calls well into OCtober asking if I was still available.

they won't let me since I was already employed...so I am contacting schools directly

Well I resigned in 2005 so I am not sure if its mine anymore
I'm pretty sure your file number stays the same...
I had a sub license in 1998 and only used it for 6 months and when I got rehired by the DOE in 2004, it was the same number.
