I am doing this myself. My friend told me about a video from Home Depot. You paint the ceiling "Sky Blue" BM I think, then there's this rag that you use (you can buy from there too) to do the clouds. She said it's very easy. Once I do it I'll let you know. Of course you can go the professional route too.

ETA: Clouds you can do easily yourself. I did it my first year in college with my roomates.
