Anyone know where I can get a kids winter coat on sale?

OK, so this is a little embarassing, but you all have been so nice to me, i feel comfortable posting this. I had bought my DS a winter coat right after Xmas last year at Old Navy, a 50 dollar coat for 20 bucks. It was really nice, and he wore it from Jan- late march, early April. I put the kids coats downstairs for storage and when i went in the box his coat wasn't there. I have no idea what happened. Last winter our washer hose broke and we had a flood down there. The only thing that i can think of is that my DH threw out the coat thinking it was ruined during the flood. So, now for the embarassing part: with Xmas coming and my DH losing overtime, we are not able to spend 50 bucks or more on a winter coat for my DS, but he really needs one. Anyone know where i can get one on sale?I've been checking online and haven't found anything I also checked the coupon boards. Any feedback is greatly appreciated. TIA

Have you checked places like Marshalls & TJ Maxx? What about burlington coat factory?

I don't know your DS's size/age but JCPenney's has some on their sight for $25 (toddler boys).

TY so much ! Ithought i had a Childrens place coupon but i cant find it. I will go over there tomorrow and also sears. Burlington is not that close to me. I knew i could cant on you all! TY

Someone had posted a Children's Place coupon on Parenting last week. I think it was an additional 15% off. I'm sure if you ask over there someone will have the link.

The Children's Place had them 40% off the other day. I bought DS one when they first came out and it is great. There is a fleece that you can take out and wear seperately.

ETA: And nothing to be embarrassed about. I dont like spending alot of money on coats b/c DS is only 19 mo. old and gets what, maybe 5 months use out of it total. It's silly to me.

Kohl's usually has some good deals too, or Wal-Mart or Target.

Children's Place, Macy's, JCPenney etc. A ton of places already have them marked down significantly.

Don't be embarrassed! I bought my DD's jacket last Winter for $15 (Columbia jacket) and I'm going to buy her next year jacket at the end of the season this year. I can't fathom spending a ton of money on a jacket at this age!

What size is your DS? I have a boys winter coat that my son outgrew in size 4T if that is his size (it's a small 4T, so it may be 3T too).

Walmart has coats for $12,$15 & $20
you can have them shipped site to store for FREE.

Wow, Holy Toledo you guys are unbelievable!! TY all so much. I agree, i can't fathom spending a lot on a coat either. TY he is a size 7 to the poster that offered her DS's 4T that is so nice of you, i really appreciate that. I NEVER spend top dollar for my kids coats either. I almost always go to old navy right after xmas and get one for 20 bucks that was originally 50. I also have gone to The childrens place and gotten DD's there. I think i paid 12 bucks for her last coat there. I always buy hers a little big so she can get at least a season and a half out of it. Then this happened and my poor little guy had no coat when he went to go to school. All he had was a heavy fall coat and i felt so bad. I went down to the box to give him his coat and it was gone. I just found a 10 dollar reward certificate i have for Bobs and i saw in Sundays ad that they have coats for 50% off and then you can use the20 % coupom with the reward certificte it says. I'm also going to check out some others you all have suggested. Thanks for understanding and making me feel better about this. l

My mom on the children's dept pricing team at the JCPenney in RF and over the weekend she told me that the coats were going to be discounted even more this week. I'm sure they are having other sales/coupons that you can add on top of the stuff on clearance.

If you can't wait for the prices to go down more, I definitely recommend going to Marshall's or TJMaxx. I got a Timberland coat with snow pants for $25.

I just bought Alex's winter coat from Burlington Coat Factory - it's a cute pink coat that can convert into a vest for the fall, from OskKosh B'gosh, last season.

Only cost me $15!

I would agree to check Marshall's, T.J. Maxx, Burlington.

Also look at Old Navy as they have some things on sale. I saw some boys coats for 30 or under. I also saw some things on Gymboree for 30 and under.

Just thought of this post today when I was at Sears. They had a 50% off sale and they had NICE boys and girls coats for anywhere from $25 to $45. HTH
