Anyone leave Dr. Kofinas office terrified?
I went to see Dr. Kofinas today for the first time today and I left so scared. He said my cervix is a little short (33.5-they want it over 35) and there is some damage to each of the placentas. (i am only 10 weeks)
and to add to the confusion I was a dr. Pilliteri's yesterday and he said my cervix looked great.
On one breath he said not to worry but on the other he was super serious and concerned. It was so overwhelming!

Re: Anyone leave Dr. Kofinas office terrified?
I have had some major scares during this pregnancy and what I am learning is that more times than not EVERYTHING is fine and Dr's really know how to scare the shiit out of someone and because a lot of these dr's are high risk (Dr. Pilliteri is mine as well) they have seen things go wrong a lot more often so it is in their head and they want to make sure we are all cautious and that they tell us every possible thing that COULD go wrong, when again, most times everything is fine.
Please don't let the fear take over your joy right now. I have had the most difficult 3 weeks of my life right now and I feel like these dr's took away all my joy. We are waiting for another test that I have on Tuesday and hopefully we will get good news, but I can tell you that stressing and worrying and being sad does NOTHING to help the situation, so stay strong, stay positive, and stay calm. I am sure your babies will be just fine
