anyone NOT dressing LO's in "holiday"colors??
I found a really pretty black dress for DD for Christmas - DH was like nice dress - too bad it's black and won't wear it for xmas.....
I am wrong to want to dress her in this?? I am hoping to find a red "shrug" to compromise...
just curious if I am loony....

Re: anyone NOT dressing LO's in "holiday"colors??
My girls are wearing black and silver.
I usually LOVE more festive dresses. Plaid, red, green etc, but I think black falls in there.
I am not a fan of pink, blue, purple etc for Christmas. I feel like it is not Christmassy. JMO

Re: anyone NOT dressing LO's in "holiday"colors??
DD first christmas dress was burgundy, last year it was white with black polka dots and this year it will be black on top, dark silver skirt with a pink ribbon and flower.
i just realized now i have never had her in a red dress on christmas. shes got reddish hair so that might have something to do with my decision.

I love black. You can get her a pair of red shoes (gap has adorable red sparkly flats--not dorothy sparkly-- very subtle) and a red hair clip or headband. My neice wore a gray dress w black tights for her holiday pics last year and she looked so cute--and totally holiday appropriate!

Re: anyone NOT dressing LO's in "holiday"colors??
Last year we did purple and black an this year we will probably do black again. I feel like holiday colors are a little cheesy sometimes IMO
Edited for spelling

my DD's wearing a purple dress - I have no problem with it - she will look adorable regardless.

Re: anyone NOT dressing LO's in "holiday"colors??
Maybe it's because I have boys, but I don't think I've ever coordinated their holiday outfits with the colors of the season. I find nice boys clothes are hard enough to come by, so I try not to make things more difficult by trying to stick to a particular color scheme.

For Christmas she is, but for Christmas Eve I got this from The Childrens Place. It's velvet.
