I'm curious because we're not so sure the termite inspector did a good inspection. The guy left before we got to the house to be there for the inspection, and when we got his report in the mail, it said everything he could see showed no signs of termite damage. But there is old termite damage in the garage that is very visible and he made no comment about it in the report. He must have only been there 5-10min tops. We have no idea what he really looked and didn't now. Anyone else not happy with their inspection and ever complain or have it redone?

If you are not satisfied... just get a separate termite inspection done by a different company.

It probably won't cost more than $100 buks and the peace of mind would be worth it IMO.

Don't have the same guy re-do it.

Is this for a house that you're buying? Rather than get a second one done, look at your certificate and see if it covers the garage. Than call the company and say that there is visible termite damage and that they'll need to redo it.

Our inspector (who is also our engineer) was insured for things like this. If he says there is no termite damage and there was, he can be liable for excluding it in his report.
