anyone not taking Lamaze classes?
DH and I procrastinated and now the only classes that are still open we will be away for or DH will be at sea.
anyone use jsut a video?

I probably will not.
Lots of friends told me it was a waste of money and time. They would have prefer doing the DVD.

Same here. Although I'm not even purchasing a DVD. Just based on my friend's expereinces, anything can happen and many of them ended up deviating from their original birthing plan once they were in the hospital and in full labor.
I did hear from certain people that the breathing exercises from Lamaze can help. It doesn't take away the pain of course but it can help you focus on something other than the contractions.
If you can't get into a class now, I wouldn't worry too much. If it helps put your mind at ease I would purchase the DVD.

I didnt and I also didnt get an instructional video. I'm not planning on doing it this time around either!
