Anyone own a Salt Water Aquarium?
I'm thinking about getting a reef tank by Nano or Oceanic Bio-Cube... Anyone here have one? If so, is it hard to keep?

Re: Anyone own a Salt Water Aquarium?
My DH has wanted one for years (we have a freshwater). Supposedly they are very hard to maintain the pH level but once you get it going, they are sooo nice!

Re: Anyone own a Salt Water Aquarium?
I have one that we're setting up at home in the new house- we recently broke down our 2 reef tanks. I have a NanoCube in my classroom as well its that easy. If you put live rock in the tank first, the water doesnt have to cycle bc the rocks take care of the pH. You don't have to worry about the ammonia spiking and dropping. Having reef tanks is so much easier to maintain.. real easy but more expensive. I love it though! GL
FM if you have any questions

Same here. My DH has 4 Freshwater tanks, and would love to add a saltwater tank to the collection, but won't because it's very hard to maintain.

Re: Anyone own a Salt Water Aquarium?
My dad had 125 gallon salt water tank years ago and it was a lot of work. Had to constantly test the water, change the water and the fish were so delicate especially angels.. He was in love with this one type of angelfish a fire angle that was like $60 and they would die so quickly it was a major expense... but if you have the time and money its worth it they are soooo beautiful
