Anyone own a spin bike?
I want to buy a spin bike, but don't know which ones are best for home use (not flimsy, but isn't crazy expensive). I used to go to NYSC where they have the Spinner bikes, which I liked. Any suggestions?

Yes, I have the kind in the gyms at home. It's a Spinner Pro by Star Trac.
I love it and use it 4X a week to lose my pregnancy weight. I actually am on it as I type. I rest the computer in the handlebars ( and it wont move) which gets me to stay on the bike for a good 45 mins....while I read on the computer or play music from online.

Re: Anyone own a spin bike?
oh yay!! How do you like the Spinner Pro? I can't decide betwen Spinner Velo (cheapest out of the three), Spinner NXT (most expensive) and Spinner Pro (in the middle). I don't want the bike to shift around or be uncomfortable.

I have been really happy with it. The seat is fine and its a great bike.
The only thing that happens is the handle bars always seem a little loose. Regardles of how tight I lock it in place it always loosens up a bit once I use the bike but it isnt that big of a deal. ( I still can hold onto them or rest the computer...its just has the slightest movement.)
I think any of the StarTrac bikes are good quality.
Goodluck!

Just wanted to say that the handle bar thing happens on all spin bikes. I've been spinning for years and this has happened on every single bike, you'd think they'd be able to fix it by now, lol.

Re: Anyone own a spin bike?
My gym is selling a spin bike for $200.
I'm in Suffolk County, if you're interested I'll try and look at the specs when I go in tomorrow?
