Anyone own the Vitamix?
When we went to my FIL's on Thanksgiving he made soup from his Vitamix and was raving about all the fun stuff it can do. Well.... My dh and I were SOLD and bought one today!
Any interesting recipes/tips to recommend? I'm really looking forward to start using it this week!

Re: Anyone own the Vitamix?
We bought the CIA Professional Series. They had it at BBB and we got 20% off!!
I hope you like it!! We'll have to compare cooking ideas! It comes with a cookbook so I'll be experimenting with something from there this week.

Re: Anyone own the Vitamix?
I do! I make smoothies. Then I turn them into ice pops for the kids. I've made a carmelized onion soup in there. I carmelize onions shallots and garlic, throw in the vitamix with some chicken stock and let it blend on high for about 6 minutes. I also do a roasted veggie soup. Take carrots, sweet potatoes, onions etc. Roast them then mix with chicken stock and some salt and pepper. Blend for 6 mins(it will steam)

Those recipes sound delicious!!!!! I'll have to try that! I really like the idea of turning the smoothies into ice pops. Do you just put them in those ice pop molds?

My mom has one, we were just talking about it this week. She has had here probably for twenty years and it's still like brand new. I remember she used to grind flour in it.

I actually put mine in cake pop molds because thats what I have. Then I let them harden for about 20-30 mins so I can put the sticks in. Would probably be much easier with ice pop molds, but I'm cheap with stuff like that
