Anyone planning ahead on the christening? need ideas
We're having a Nov baby this time so I don't even know when to have it let alone where and how. Last time we did it in our backyard b/c it was June but that's out this time. We're in Nassau. I'd love to hear what you all are doing.

Re: Anyone planning ahead on the christening? need ideas
we are having a early december baby and honestly, we are waiting until spring.. we did the same thing with DD. We will probably do something at my mother's house (she's right down the road from the church) and cater it, get a tent, etc.
There just isn't a lot of time w/ the holidays- and then my church doesn't baptize during lent- so it would have to be before ash wednesday- which is the 2nd week of february- just too much i think.
Waiting out until end of May/beginning of June will probably be the way we go.

I am due in November too. We are going to wait until the end of may to have the christening. We would like to do it early, but since the godfather (dh brother) is in the military he is limited on time he can take off. I know we can have some one stand in for him, but we dont want to do that. I know it would really upset dh brother too.
So since we figure we will just host a bbq/pig roast in our back yard.

We're having an April baby and will probably have the Christening in August or early September
