Anyone Purchase Furniture From The Place?
I had a great experience the other day with a salesman at the Carle Place one and DH and I are most likely going to purchase our living room set through them. Anyone have any good/bad stories about them??

I looked at a table and chairs set there - but i found it online a little cheaper with no tax and no delivery charge at www.ifurn.com. I would look around just to make sure you are paying the best price. A lot of their furniture is mass produced so you can find it online cheaper.

I got my table from them, they I ended up ordering from North Carolina and the prices were about 40% less, than the The Place

we bought our couch from them, in Farmingdale. great experience, although next time we're going with higher end stuff.

We bought our dining room china cabinet from the route 110 store and we had a great experience both in the store and also with the delivery.

they rubbed me the wrong way -- I saw an ad for some furniture on sale so i called. they told me no problem, they have it, come in and see. i got there and they said they never had what i asked for at the price i said. unfortunately i had tossed the paper.

We ordered our couch from there without any problems, and we love it. The salesman knocked down the price and was very accommodating!

OMG so funny you posted this!! I was going to post a vent about our couch. We ordered it on the Saturday of presidents weekend. The sales man told us that it would be here no less then 2 weeks. Its been over 3 now and we can not get in touch with them!!

we bought an entertainment center there. took a good 2 months to arrive. and one piece had a small chip in the wood. after waiting so long we opted to keep it and have them repair it. (sending it back would have meant waiting another 8 weeks.) they sent someone to repair it a week later and he did a good job. it is not noticable at all. but i don't think i'd shop there again. we have since bought other furniture from levitz and thomasville and had faster & more reliable service. i guess for a less important item it was worth it to save a few bucks.

MAJOR issues - It took them 7 - I count SEVEN dining room tables to be delivered before they got a decent one....

We just went there tonight to look for a dining room set and a bedroom set. I found the bedroom set online for a few hundred dollars cheaper and now I'm in search for the dining room.
I didn't like the salesmen in Carle Place, we're going to Farmingdale tomorrow...

We looked at The Place and found a couch we really loved....but we HATED the salesman. We ended up going to this place in Bayside called Paradise Furniture where we got the couch, extra pillows, and an upholstered rocker for a little more than half the price that The Place was going to charge us for just the couch. The only thing is that Paradise Furniture doesnt have much at their store, so you basically have to know the name of what you are looking for or look through their books. We ordered both our living room and dining room sets from them with absolutely no problems. We saved almost half on both. Also, The Place had alot of complaints on the BBB.

Our bedroom set came from there and we love the set, loved the service from The Place, and they delivered it to us and they delivered it with no problems! Great experience.
Edited to tell you we bought our set from their Farmingdale location on Rt 110
