Anyone re-do a tiny Full Bathroom
Since we are currently working on our upstairs...it would make sense to redo the bathroom too but I feel like we are getting these crazy prices. Our bathroom is so tiny...it basically fits the tub, toilet and small sink. Just curious if anyone else has a tiny full bath and how much you paid to have it redone?

Re: Anyone re-do a tiny Full Bathroom
we have a bathroom like that.. basically its big enough for a stall shower, pedistal sink, and a toilet.... we redid it last year. DH did all of the work, so it might not be totally accurate-- but we paid about 6 K just for all the materials. we did all tile in the shower, tile floor, and tile halfway up the walls. we also did new sink and toilet, too. so i would think with labor it would be like 8 K or so, depending on what you're doing...

Its hard to give an estimate because it really depends on what you pick for tile and fixtures etc. The most expensive part is the labor. If you are going to do the work yourself you can do it for anywhere from $3000 up depending on materials.
My aunt had a tiny bathroom--bowl and pedestal sink with tile on the floor and halfway up the wall and it was $5000. The materials were all white and very simple--nothing expensive. tha$1t was without moving any pipes. If they were to do it themselves it would have cost $1000 to $1500 in materials.

Re: Anyone re-do a tiny Full Bathroom
we had a very tiny bath with a shower stall. We took a little space from a walk in closet to make the bathroom bigger. Its still small but its a guest bath. We did it ourselves. We spent about $2500 all together. Some of the materials we used are high end like honed marble in the shower but DH got all of it at steep discounts through work. About 5 years ago when DH was still running his home improvement business he charged between $5,000-$8,000 for really basic bathrooms. I'm not sure what the going rate is now.
