Anyone read the book Skinny B!tch?
I just read it. Wow.. as an animal lover, I was really horrified to read about the extent of cruelty to animals on factory farms. There is a real difference between the way we treat farm andimals and our companion animals. Anyone else read this?

No but I have read about how animals on factory farms are treated and find it horrifying and disgusting. Just because an animal is going to be killed does not mean that it should be treated so horribly when it is alive. So sad

After reading that book and the Peta site I became a vegetarian. It is terrible.

ITA...I am definitely not eating meat anymore. I could never stand the thought that an animal would suffer so much just so I can eat something. Do you have any recipes or advice for me as a new vegetarian?

Re: Anyone read the book Skinny B!tch?
Yes I did. I have been a veggie for 2 yrs now and the book is dead on with how it discusses farm animals and factory farming. The treatment of farm animals is absolutely horrid and most people don't even know to the extent it goes. I bet if more people knew what really went on in factory farms they would change their minds about eating meat.
You need any info on going veggie, FM me!

I haven't read it but I know how horrible factory farming is. I am not ready to go completely veggie yet, but I don't eat any red meat and all the poultry I buy is free range, and organic.

I'm just giving up meat now, but I think I will be eating soy and veggie products as well. If anyone has any advice or recipes please FM me!

Same here. I do free range, and organic. Not ready to go complete veggie or raw vegan. Very hard to let go of the meat. It all takes time and in small doses.
