Anyone reading any books?
Like "What to Expect When You are Expecting" or something else?
I know all the answers are not in a book or website, I am just curious on getting some background information. I read the parenting/pregnancy boards and I am clueless about a lot of stuff! We arent officially TTC just yet, I just want to be a little more educated on the subject.
Maybe I should post this on the parenting board??

Re: Anyone reading any books?
I have because I got PG and then had a MC. I am a really quick reader too so I read like 3 books that first week. I read The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy, Belly Laughs(great one) and What to Expect When You're Expecting

Re: Anyone reading any books?
I have the Mayo Clinic book (which I got free because one of the ladies posted something about a year ago and I sent for it) but I haven't really read it. It seems to be one of those books you flip to as a reference, as opposed to sit down and read. It's a huge book.
I think "What to Expect When You're Expecting" is THE book to read- there's probably a reason it's been a best seller for so long. But I am a bit superstitious so I'll wait till I need it. I also looked at another book called "The Modern Girl's Guide to Motherhood" which seemed informative, but an easy read. So I will probably get that one too.

Thanks ladies! Wonderful suggestions.
I too already have What To Expect - but I havent read it yet since I am a bit superstitious too. It was like $1 at a yard sale.

Re: Anyone reading any books?
I posted this same concern - but I haven't bought any.
When I posted it MM2004 posted these suggestions: The Baby Owner's Manual: Operating Instructions, Trouble-Shooting Tips, and Advice on First-Year Maintenance - ---More funny than helpful but still good.
Baby 411 : Clear Answers and Smart Advice for Your Baby's First Year ----Great book! Still refer to it often.
Caring for Your Baby and Young Child, Revised Edition : Birth to Age 5 ----Another great resource.
The Unofficial Guide to Having a Baby ---- Very good for basic info.

Re: Anyone reading any books?
The only book that I've read is "Eating Expectantly: A Practical and Tasty Guide to Prenatal Nutrition"
It's not just for PG women. It also talks a little about diet and nutritian when your TCC. I haven't read the whole book. Just the parts that help me know.
