Anyone removed a portion of their tile floor without destroying all of it?

We may have to remove some of the tile that wraps from the kitchen area into the LV.

I can't destroy the tile because it is in the kitchen and hallway to bedrooms so it would be major $$$ to replace.

Did anyone remove a portion of their tile successfuly?
