Anyone repaint an area of a wall where there is a scuff mark?
My hallway was painted in a light color and there are some scuff marks that i cannot get off (Even with magic eraser). Was wondering if i can touch up the area by repaintiing that one area and not the entire wall (it's huge) or will it look different?
If anyone can provide advice i would appreciate it.

I've spot-painted before and it looked fine but we have flat paint so it may look a little different than semi-gloss or a different type of finish.
But personally I would prefer a slight paint variation rather than a scuff mark.

That is what i was thinking too! We have flat paint as well. Should i use a roller or should i use a paint brush? My painter used a roller and wondering if this might be better.

I just did this. I have Flat paint, Pratt and Lambert brand, and it turned out fine. I just took a brush and brushed over the marks. A little roller might work well too. I know rubbermaid makes these bottles that store paint and have a roller topper when you ready to paint. They are made for touchups.

Get Benjamin Moore "Super Hide" Primer/Undercoater. Paint the area with this until you no longer see the scuff marks. Then, paint over with the color of your choice. Ace Hardware carries it.

I've done touch-ups with an eggshell paint with no problems.

How big is the scuff?
Okay, this is probably going to sound totally lame, but...
I just dabbed over the scuff mark with a folded up paper towel with a small amount of paint and it turned out just fine.
It was a small scuff about 3 inches and the texture on the paper towel blended nicely with the roller's texture. I swear I can't even tell the difference! It's a light sage green, if that makes a difference.
