thanks, i am looking to save money every which way i can.
I wish you had posted this sooner!! I had a BRAND new double breast electric pump(Medela Pump in Style), but DH took it back to Target to get our money back.
Normally stores won't accept them once the seal has been broken and even if the seal hasn't been (which makes NO sense if it hasn't been opened), but we were fortunate enough to have purchased a defective one, contacted the Medela company and they shipped us a BRAND new one which we did not open. Of course, once we received the new one, the other one was working fine, but I decided I'd give the whole BFing thing a try for a week or two and if it didn't work out, just return the other and get our money back and return the other back to the company.
Sorry for being long winded here, but I guess my point was I had one..SORRY!!!
Good Luck with your search!

Re: anyone selling their medula breast pump not used??
Just so you know, since I didn't realize how it worked either, buying a used pump is not as icky as it may sound. I have the Medela Pump in Style (but I'm guessing all are pretty much the same in what I'm going to say), you literally are just buying the motor when you buy a used pump...Nothing that touched someone elses's boob/milk/etc. The motor has tubes that connect to the breastshields and bottles, which touch your boobs and the milk. You'd buy new breastsheilds, bottles, etc.
Just an FYI because I didn't realize this either and the thought of buying a 'used' pump always skeeved me out before I got one and realized what happens.

Are you in LI? I have one. It's 5 years old but still works fine.
You'll want to buy the attachments, etc for it. but I have the pump & the backpack. I can look at it tonight & tell you what's missing.

I looked into buying a used one but could not find out before I needed it.
The rental pumps are not new either.
But you need to buy the new tubing, etc.. that's about $50.
