Anyone start their own business?
If so, are there any books or websites that you used to research how to set up your own business?
I am looking to start a bookkeeping and tax services business.

I haven't started one personally but I do know how to start up a business using the forms from NYS I've helped friends do it in the past.

try this for info on the ins and outs. as far as i know, some things you should look into: incorporating, insurance, doing a name search, registering your name, setting up website and looking into how to get your website appearing in search engine results.

DH & I both have businesses...i did an S-Corp & he did an LLC...This site is good if you are starting one in NY...
