Anyone take a Breastfeeding Class at the hospital?

We are going to one tomorrow night and I have no idea what to expect. I am kinda nervous about it. Is that weird?

I took one. Nothing to be nervous about. I had already read a book so the info wasn't new for me. They did have these dolls that they passed around so they could show you how to position the baby properly. The best part of the class was my DH coming along. I think the class really helped to make him very supportive of me BFing.

Thanks. DH is coming with me which makes me so happy. Do we have to take out the breast in front of all the other classmates? I am not sure I can do that especially if there are other men there.

Oh God no!! There was no practicing of latching on or anything. Just how to hold the baby--cradle hold, football hold, cross-cradle. Don't worry! There was nothing embarrassing at all at our class! You'll be fine!

my hospital offered a one night class for bfing. It was pretty good, i was nervous about the whole bfing thing and was just doing b/c my dh asked me too. This class made me feel so much about it. We just talked and watched a film and she gave us papers to read.

The lady who taught the class, has a group meeting ever wed during day for moms and babies to sit and discuss any problems and question. I kept planning on going, but never made it, now i work on weds so thats out the window.
