Not yet, but I might be told that today. I'm sure you read my post the other day about having to go to the ER because I started bleeding alot. I never had cramping and the bleeding has since stopped. I'll let you know later todayChat Icon

Re: Anyone told they have a hematoma while pregnant

I did with my son Connor. Not trying to scare you, but this is what happened with me.

They found it when I started bleeding around 13.5 weeks along. I actually bled 2 other times previous to that bleed, but don't know why. Of course I read online about it, which I always told myself not to do because it never has anything good to say, and was told by the doctor the chances of miscarriage. Of course I was devasted and so scared. They said it could go either way and there was nothing we could do about it. So I had to just deal with it until my 18 week ultrasound and found out that it subsided on it's own thankfully. And now Connor is almost 2.5 yrs old. So, everything turned out fine, and usually do with a hematoma, but still be cautious. I wasn't even told to do any bedrest either because that won't do anything either way. I'm sure everything will be fine, I just wanted to share with you what had happened with me. Good luck!

ETA: I also found out at 13.5 weeks that I "could have" been bleeding because I was showing a partial previa. The placents was within millimeters of my cervix so who knows. But also with my first son I bled 2 times for absolutely no reason. You just never know! Chat Icon

Yes, I was told I had a small hematoma at 6.5 weeks, but it cleared up within about 48 hours. The ultrasound tech was telling me they are SO common and most clear up on their own unless you have a clotting disorder, in which case they need to be monitored. Hopefully with a little partial bedrest yours will clear up in no time sweetie! Chat Icon

Same here although I think I was a little further along. I do remember reading that most clots resolve on their own by 20 weeks of pregnancy and the clot either bleeds itself out or the body absorbs it. Also dehydration can also cause the uterus to contract-irritating your baby and the clot.

This is very common! So just try to take a deep breath and know that this is not from anything that you did wrong and that all you can do is limit your lifting and sex! Here is a hugChat Icon I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers!Chat Icon
