Anyone up for Hemmroids?

I have them and they are no fun! Do I just go the Prep-H route? I have no clue here!

Re: Anyone up for Hemmroids?

try baths too...just sit in a tub of not too much hot water...warm since your PG...not a full tub. It will help the irritation a LOT.

Also try witch hazel in between Prep H use. It helps shrink them. Just use it every time you go to the bathroom on a piece of TP.

Re: Anyone up for Hemmroids?

I just use the witch hazel route. I wipe with a Prep H WH pad and it gives some relief. If the itch or "sting" is bad - I will leave a pad "in" there.

Re: Anyone up for Hemmroids?

okay this sounds crazy (and I thought it was when my OB first told me) but if you chill Milk of Magnesia and use a cotton ball to apply to the specified area, it soothes and shrinks the 'roid. Def. try it - it was the best solution to an umcomfy problemChat Icon

Re: Anyone up for Hemmroids?

Try the Prep H wipes. I also read that keeping your feet up on a stool while "going" can prevent them.

Re: Anyone up for Hemmroids?

My doctor said the prep H cream is fine and if that doesnt help they can prescribe some sort of steriod cream.

They gave me pads with WitchHazel on it after I gave birth to my first son.

They were dipped in it and then frozen. It felt cold but nice.

I suggest that you all do this after you have your baby.

I did this too.

My mom told me that you can use Benedryl or cortisone cream to help with the itching.
