Anyone use California Baby SUNBLOCK or any other natural sunblock?

I would love to use a natural/organic sunblock for DD, but she's so fair, and I'm terrifed of it not working (Not that I plan on having her in full sun all spring/summer, but still).

Anyone use a natural/organic sunblock that they love...or one you hated? If you wanted to use a natural one but don't, which one do you use?

Thanks!

I use a sunblock from a company called Lavera, they do a kids version. They are based in Germany but I love their sunblock, it smells like Vegetable Oil...sounds gross, but I love it!! Its expensive, but worth it!

I"m not sure if it's natural, but my son's dermatologist told me that Baby Lizard (by Blue Lizard) is the most gentle. He gets severe eczema and she said it's really the only option for us.

I use Blue Lizard too for DD and love it. She's never had any reactions and her skin can be somewhat sensitive.

I also use Blue Lizard for DS. It was the only sunblock that the doc recommended for DS when we went to Curacao when he was 3mo.

I use California baby on my son - he has very sensitive skin and food allergies and it is the only one that didn't give him a rash after a few days of use. Blue Lizard gave him a rash as did Vanicream.

The California Baby is really thick so it's kind of a pain to apply, but it does the job well and doesn't irritate him at all.

Thanks everyone. I really want to try the California Baby, but I'm a big chicken and nervous it won't work and she'll get burned. Of course, I'm going to limit her sun exposure, but I'm irrationally nervous about trying it Chat Icon

I was always nervous about that too since my son is very fair like me, but seriously, the CA baby is so thick and it works so well, he's never been sunburned in his short 5 years!! Chat Icon 2 years of week long vacations at Ocean City, long days on a boat at Jones Beach, etc. etc. he's been fine. I actually love that stuff...I just hate that it's so thick!

Thank you for your insight!! I actually was just at BRU and saw the Earth's Best sunblock. Any experience with that? I picked it up, but may return it and just order California Baby.
