Anyone use MyNetDiary app to track calories?
I started using this on Monday. I need to lose about 20lbs and I'd like to lose it by April or May. The app said I should be taking in 1248 calories a day (I don't exercise, so that's probably why the caloric intake is lower than average).
Just curious for anyone else using it, what's your caloric intake, do you find the app is accurate, and has it helped you to lose any weight?

That seems really low! I use that app and love it but I don't use their calorie calculations--I use my own and just track on there.
Do you mind my asking your stats? Are you tracking macros or just calories? I am happy to help if you want to private message me.
I've used both MFP and MyNetDiary and find MyNetDiary to be much more accurate and the caloric intakes to be healthier so I am surprised to see it that low!

I'm only tracking calories right now although I am paying close attention to the nutrient calculations as well. I try to stay within their recommended amounts each day.
My start weight is: 148 Goal weight is: 128 Height: 5'6" Exercise level: Sedentary Target Date: April 1, 2015 Basal Metabolic Rate Cals: 1414 Weight Maintenance Cals: 1997 Rec. Daily Food Cals: 1145 Customized Cals: 1248 (I felt that 1145 cals per day was an unattainable goal, so I increased it slightly to make it more realistic).
I definitely agree that the caloric intake seems very low, but I literally have a job where I sit at a desk ALL day long and I don't exercise at home, so what I'm thinking is happening is to make up for the fact that no calories are being burned, MND is reducing my caloric intake drastically maybe?

Re: Anyone use MyNetDiary app to track calories?
Ok as a general rule, to "cut" fat or weight you would multiply your weight by 10-12 to get the total number of calories. Even if I only multiplied by 10 that would still leave you at 1480 rather than 1145. You should really not be eating below your BRM as it is not good for you. Honestly, I would start higher than that even so that if you plateau you have somewhere to drop calories too. The idea is to lose while eating the most amount of calories. I do think some exercise would obviously help and bring the amount you can eat up, but I understand if it's just not something you can/want to do. Let me know if I can help in any other way!
