Anyone use the Angelcare Movement Monitor * Update
I was thinking of getting this to use with my video monitor.
It has been a week now and it seems like DS is definitely a belly sleeper! but he sleeps with his face flat into the mattress. He can turn his head, he just doesn't want to. He sleeps so peacefully, but now I get none bc I check on him every 20 minutes
Is this monitor good? worth the $? I feel like it will give me some peace of mind.
Thanks
Update: Got it in the mail yesterday and used it last night and I really don't know how I went this long without it lol. I slept so good last night. I also love how it went off to tell me his room was too cold, it really just gives me peace of mind and I love it. I also love the little tick noise in the background. I fell asleep listening to it knowing my child was ok even though he was sleeping with his face planted into the mattress and his a$$ in the air!
The alarm did go off once and I jumped. I took him out to change his diaper and forgot that I would have to turn it off and it scared the cr@p out of me

I have one and my sister had one and loved it until her DD was old enough to move around - if they move off the sensor it's going to beep and scare the h e l l out of you thinking that your child isn't breathing when really he just moved in his sleep. I think Brady might be old enough to move around, right? DD is a belly sleeper and we use it but she's too little to move.

I love that thing! I used it with DS until he was 2 (I figured if I was trying to climb out of his crib, that would tell me) and now I use it with DD.

Yes he moves all over the place! I did read some reviews and they said it didn't matter if they rolled off of it it will still pick up the movements (or lack thereof) anywhere in the crib. I wonder if this is true.

Re: Anyone use the Angelcare Movement Monitor
I have it
LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED IT!
I still use the sound portion but she doesnt sleep in her bed anymore (She sleeps on the floor )
I would use it as long as I could if she were sleeping in her bed, but around 1.5yrs old my cat chewed through the wire.
I highly recommend it!
ETA: I only got false alarms when she would wedge hersel up against the farthest point of the bed. Way up at the top or the bottom. Then pushed herself as if to become flat against the bars. I got about 3 alarms out of that. Even tho the first were scary, it was good to know I would be alerted if she were that jammed up. I hated seeing her arms and legs stuck out and her face pushed up against the bar, so the alarm let me go 'fix' her which was fine by me.

Re: Anyone use the Angelcare Movement Monitor
I could not live without it the first few months and DS was not even a belly sleeper. I was just a paranoid mommy.

Re: Anyone use the Angelcare Movement Monitor
I couldn't have lived without it. We used the movement part until she was almost 1. Now we just use the sound part. Its important to put it on a hard surface though, like a piece of plywood. My DH cut a piece to fit the crib which was the same size as the mattress, and it worked wonderfully.

Re: Anyone use the Angelcare Movement Monitor
I love love love it!!! I would never ever get any sleep without it. The ticking puts dh and I to sleep and the alarm is loud enough to wake us if god forbid something were to happen. Eta make sure you cut plywood the length of the mattress.

Uh i totally understand.
The other night I woke DH up out of a deep sleep to let him know there was a spider in Bradys room.
So he was like "you saw it on the monitor?!".. I said no it was a mother intuition. I had a feeling there was a huge spider in the corner by his crib (there has been one there before)
So after checking the room for 15 minutes at 2am he "kindly" let me know there was no spider in the room and that I needed some "serious help"

I've done that SOOOO many times. I'd forget. And its not exactly immediate so I was usually running back to shut it off
Yeah the tick tock thing got to be the only way I COULD sleep. When she was over at my aunt's house and of course we didn't have the monitor on, it was so QUIET! spooky.
