Anyone use the Billie Razor? UPDATE
UPDATE: no good. I got it yesterday and used it. It scraped my skin at every stroke. The head is slimy which helps to glide it better but the razor itself? Felt like a 3 week old razor at the end of its lifespan. Thankfully it was only $9 wasted. Subscription has been cancelled.
I may try Harry’s Next. I’m on the hunt for a razor that won’t hurt my skin at almost 43 years old lol The Gillette I use is hit or miss. If I get a pack of 4, 1 or 2 are great and the others are scrapey from the start too. If I get the 12 pack from Bjs , I’m lucky if a 1/4 of them are good. ______________________________
I have sensitive skin. Shaving is always uncomfortable. I use men’s Gillette sensitive razors and they work, but can get crazy expensive. I saw an ad for Billie recently and it looks interesting. $9 start. And then $9 every 2 months for 4 blades. $54 a year for razor blades sounds pretty good and convenient - but mostly - if they are good on my sensitive skin, they’ll be worth double!
Anyone use this? Or other subscription razors that are good on sensitive skin?

Anyone use the Billie Razor?
Yes, i have been getting them silnce last year. I really like them. I get a good shave and no longer cut myself. Only issue is blades don't last as long as ones you get in store, but to me, its ok b/c i always have a stash lying around. Try them for a month, you can cancel anytime or skip a month.

Ok. So I shave my legs every 2 days or so in the winter Underarms every other due to sensitivity. I notice the Gillette’s I have been buying, the razor gets to about a week and then starts to hurt and is dull. Is that comparable to how long a Billie blade would last?

I use them and I would say yes, even maybe a bit longer. I like them a lot.

Re: Anyone use the Billie Razor?
I have started using Harry razor at the recommendation of my husband and I love it. Get it at Target and it works so good. I do only shave like once every two weeks or longer during the winter because I don’t care lol. Once or twice a week during the summer.

I use them, and have for a few months now! I like them, and I'm super hairy. But, I feel like they are a little slimey, which I don't love. I don't shave everyday, only when I have a...date...haha. But, in the Summer I do shave everyday. I get 4 blades a month, and have a stash of them. I figure in the Summer, I will go through one blade a week though.

Thank you. I think I know what you mean by slimy. It has that “soap” or whatever that is surrounding the blades to help with a. Smooth glide.
I’m hoping the 4 blades bi-monthly will be enough. Figure I’d start there and if I need more, I can adjust it. It’ll be here anywhere from the 24th-27th. I can’t wait to try it

I just love their ads on Facebook with the woman with the jungle under their arms, the leg hair so long you can braid it and the hairy toes. I swear the models must have to grow their hair for weeks before filming the ad.

They get really slimy. One time I left it on the ledge and not on the holder and it was like glued down!

LOL I know. It's like All First time shavers. The longest I've gone not shaving my pits was 2 weeks so I can have smooth (no 5 o'clock shadow) underarms for my wedding day. The commercial has got to be like 6 months worth of growth. I've never seen armpit hair that long in general. If it can get through that, I'm sure it'll have no problem getting through my Italian hairy body

Re: Anyone use the Billie Razor? UPDATE
Not a subscription but I have used Schick Intuition for years. The soap or whatever it it comes with is super hydrating (I buy the extra hydrating one because I have super dry legs). Love that I don’t have to use shaving gel. And when it’s done, I just use the refills. I literally have used this brand since it first came out. I think I was in high school. I still remember they used the Jewel Intuition song on their first commercials and that’s why I bought it.

Anyone use the Billie Razor? UPDATE
Gillette skin guard 5 blade cartridges are supposed to be the best.
I also heard there is a new heated razor from Gillette. It is $$$ but i bet it works great.

Have you tried Venus Comfortglide? My favorite razor. There is a 3 or 5 blade option. I too have sensitive skin.

You know what, the last blade I got did the same thing to me the other day. I don't know what the deal is! I hadn't had that issue with my previous ones from them

Re: Anyone use the Billie Razor? UPDATE
I have never had an issue with the Venus razor, never cut myself or scraped my skin. I use Basis soap to shave, have never used shaving cream.

Re: Anyone use the Billie Razor? UPDATE
I’ve tried Venus and it was scrapey lol I hope I’m explaining that right My legs also burn after the scraping Any woman’s razor has not been good for me. I’ve always done better with men’s razors.
I purchased a green shick men’s hydro for sensitive skin and so far so good. It came with 2 razors and the first is 5 shaves in - still good. It’s half the price of my current Gillette. Just hoping the refill blades aren’t hit or miss like the Gillette’s were.

I thought maybe it was a fluke blade so I used the second one it came with. Same thing. I was so disappointed
