Anyone wait until after 6mths to start solids?

Hi,

Bad mom that I am, I forgot to schedule my DD's next round of shots at her 4mth check up.

So when I called they dont have any available appointments until the 25th of this month. My DD will be 6months tomorrow.

I havent started her on solids yet and planned on starting her after talking to my ped at her 6mth shot.

So my Q. is do I start her now anyway without talking to the ped or wait until her appointment later in the month.

I dont even know what I should be feeding her...

I did, but you should ask to talk to your ped by phone so you will be more comfortable.
My ped said start solids anywhere from 4-6 months.

I waited until after 6 months to start them both... I also waited until they were 4 months to start any shots. Don't feel bad You can start with something like bananas or apples... break out the camera!!

I started her at 5, I would just call and ask....

We aren't planning on anything else but my milk for at least 6 months... Pediatrican said it was fine at her 4 month. It's a personal choice I believe...
