Anyone watch Teach:Tony Danza?
I just happened to catch this as I was flipping through channels. I really like him & think he is a great guy, trying to do something good. I felt bad for him. Teaching is not as easy as it seems. I hope he has success.

I didn't see the show, but I saw him on Oprah talking about it and he said how it was the hardest but most rewarding thing he has ever done.

he said on the radio that we went to college and he became a certified teacher
cameras were only in class about 40% of the time. he was there for the whole year though

Yeah, I saw most of it last night.
Is he only teaching one period a day though?? That's how it seemed from what I caught, and if so, it's not the same as teaching 5 periods a day.
I don't know why he got so upset either, the kids seemed pretty well-behaved (compared to what I'm used to).
Teaching is a REALLY hard job though & it's true what they said that a lot of people don't realize the responsibility & the stress until they try it.

I really hope that this does something positive for the profession. There has been TOO much teacher bashing lately and it's pizzing me off. I hope he has success and opens a few eyes.
But I felt for him the first few minutes. That AP was a beyotch when she got on him for signing in.

I happened to catch this Friday night while flipping channels. I really liked it and can't wait to see the entire season. He is so genuine and really cares and wants to succeed.

I didn't see it, but I'm sorry I missed it! I'm a huge Tony Danza fan, I loved his daytime show and was so sad when it got axed. I still watch Who's the Boss on ch 191 everyday!
