OK, Lincoln (Link) is on death row and sentenced to be killed in 1 month for the murder of the vice president's brother. He claims that he was set up. He owed someone a lot of money and the guy (Bo) said he would erase the debt, if he would kill the VP's brother (today we learned he also threatened to kill Link's son). Link goes to kill him, but when he gets there, the VP 's brother was already dead. Link was sentenced to death and exhausted all his appeals. He is scheduled to die within 30 days.

Michael, his brother, believes his brother is innocent. He is a structural engineer who helped build the prison. He decides to get himself arrested and put into that prison so that he can help his brother escape before his execution date. He has a map of the prison tattooed on his body. He beleives the weakest link in the prison is the infirmary so he poses as a diabetic to go up there daily. He takes an insulin blocker so that he doesn't die from all the insulin.

The female attorney (Robin Turney) was Link's girlfriend. She beleived he was guilty but spoke to a potential witness (a drug addict/ con) who told her that Link and her late boyfriend were set up, and they did not commit the murder. She told the attorney the story, but went for a cigarette and disappeared- she was murdered by the Secret Service.

Basically, we know he was set up by someone and the secret service is trying to cover it up (or they set him up in the first place).

Michael is friendly with the warden because the warden wants his help in building a model of something (Taj Mahal maybe) for his wife's anniversary. This infuriates the prison guard even more.

To escape, Michael needs help from his cell mate (while he deos the digging) and another inmate- Abruzzi. Abruzzi has an airport and a plane near the prison. Michael found out who testified against Abruzzi (a mobster) and is planning on testifying against another mobster after Link's execution date. They cut off Michael's toe trying to get the information, but he wouldn't tell them. The mobster on the outside has threatened to kill Abruzzi's children if Abruzzi doesn't get the whereabouts of the witness who is now in the witness protection program. Michael promises to tell him when they have escaped and are on the outside.

ETA: There was a priest who was very close to the mayor and wanted Lincoln to get pardoned for the crime, at least not executed. He was very close to pursuading the mayor and he was murdered.

I am addicted to this show. In love with the character and am totally loving every addicting minute!!! Might even like it as much as Big Brother
