Re: anyone who has gotten professional flower beds (stone/brick etc)...
I had it done...can't recall price since we did so much brickwork at once and the cost of the stone was less b/c we needed alot of it. We had just the stacking flagstones before this and they always fell over, got messy looking so we went for this and like it so much more. Dresses up our small yard. I know they don't work in Suffolk, only Nassau. Prices can really vary based on what you want, if it is bulk order stone, etc. Really varies a lot. The stone we used is also for retaining walls so our product cost a lot more than just average stone to make a bed, but we had a porch made with it so we wanted it all to be consistent. This is a pic of the beds I had with the stacking flagstones. They fell over easily, but it didn't cost much for our landscaper to put it up. I have to look through my old receipts and see if I can figure out what the beds cost.

Check out my album, we did a lot of brick work over the past 2 years. I have an idependent guy that does it for us. He has done a lot work for our neighbors along with family. Price definately does vary depending on what you are doing. If it is in-detail, it is going to cost a lot more. We are in the process now of designing our patio.
Here is a taste:
