Re: Anyone with a late birthday keep DC in EI until December?
My son has a late birthday this was a huge thing for us recently. He is autistic and any programs would have been full come January we felt. The programs near us where no good for him.
He needed one on one and probably for a few years and he was already in a program at home. Though we could have kept it at home for aother year. Most programs take them when there three only.
Because of consistency issues with the teachers and us wanting him to be with kids but get a more structured program but similar to the other one he had at home.
We decided to go to a pre-school with ABA. We are trying to move closer to where he will be. I so wanted him to stay home. I am sorry its a very hard decision.
now its two months later and he has two more months at home. He is showing behaviors and teachers here cant help enough.
I am very glad I booked that school way in advanced as they are now full and I have no choice but to wait for summer. This happend after are school meeting.
Good Luck.
