I had planned to visit overseas this year but I admit I'm concerned where we will be in a few months and this new insane Bannon/Trump regime making us targets overseas or if he pisses off another country and you're there on travel, there could be issues.

Anyone else have this concern?

I'm not too worried abou most of my plans.

There is one I'm giving second thoughts to. DH and I want to go to Eurovsion this year (if they ever start selling tickets!) in Kiev, Ukraine. It's the safe part of Ukraine, but being an American in Ukraine when the US seems to be buddy-buddy with Putin doesn't sound like a good idea.

Right now not worried at all. We are still planning to go to Europe for 2/3 weeks like we do every summer.

We go to visit my husbands parents in Switzerland (his dad is a Swiss citizen) in June but I'm concerned what travel will be like then.

We are planning to go to Montreal in October- DH has a conference and DD and I will tag along. We have been half joking that they won't let us in unless we solemnly promise we won't try and stay. Chat Icon

I am a really nervous flyer anyway so it does not take much for me to chicken out of plans, though we do not have summer travel plans yet. But I do admit I am worried about the climate for Americans, abroad but at home as well. I fear this latest executive order may cause attacks within the US, between the anger it's generating against us and Trump's apparent lack of concern (as evidenced by still not taking all briefings, but maybe that has changed.)

We are going to Italy in September. My sister is going to Munich, Zurich and Amsterdam next week for work.

I'm not any more worried than I have been the past 16 years.

This is how I feel too. I have no intention of changing any travel plans for this year. I was studying abroad when the war started in 2003(?ish) and I saw a lot of American hate but I was never directly affected by it. I am much more nervous about terrorists than anything else.
