Anyones baby a cat-napper?
My son only cat naps during the day, never really takes long naps (20 minutes here, 10 minutes there). Does anyone know what I can do to try to change this? Or is he too young (6 weeks)

Re: Anyones baby a cat-napper?
Mine was the same and he slowly changed over time. Since he is 6 weeks old I would try putting him in the swing or bouncy seat. I noticed I got longer naps in the bouncy ( I have the FP sensory and it has a mobile that he would stare at). The swing I didn't try until he probably was about 3 months old and I think I should have tried it earlier.

Re: Anyones baby a cat-napper?
DD was like this for a very long time, 30 minutes and she was up like clockwork... It get better as she got older... Occassionally I would get a longer nap in the swing or stroller if I was walking...

Re: Anyones baby a cat-napper?
My son has been a cat-napper since he was born and he still is. He is almost 4 months old.
I agree with the swing, it helped my DS sleep longer, but not much.
Wish I could be more help.

Re: Anyones baby a cat-napper?
Mine was and is also a light sleeper. Still is a light sleeper. I would say somewhere around 7 months he started taking longer naps and sometimes they are short it all depends on the day. But if we are out...forget it...20 minutes here, 30 minutes there if i'm lucky. We are going on a cruise next week so his sleeping will be all over the place. If he is laying on a bed and it's not too noisy he can sleep for maybe an hour. But quiet on a cruise? LOL
If we are home he'll take a 2 hour nap and then an hour one. or sometimes it's an hour and a half and then the second one will be the same it all depends...

Re: Anyones baby a cat-napper?
My DS tries to fight sleep. I have found a couple of things that have made a huge difference. When he gets tired I swaddle him and turn on the white noise machine he goes for a least an hour. If I out him in the sling or bjorn and walk him around until he falls asleep then I can put him down, but I usually just keep him on though because he sleeps longer if I don't move him.
