Anyones Dog ever have this?
I have a puggle and there isnt much information out there being a new breed. Cody had been scratching alot for a while, and vet said it was allergies, and give benadryl.. So i did that and didnt work, well a few weeks ago he gave us pills to give him and that slowed down the itching but not stopped all the way.
Well the other day I was looking at my dog and found these white blotches on stomach and pee pee and now i found these dark spots on back (He has lightish fur so you can see).. I spread the fur and its kinda risen. He doesnt cry when touched, but what heck could it be? I have vet apt for monday, only day i can take b/c i have newborn and need my DH home to watch her.
anyones dog have such a thing?

I don't know of any dog who has had this but i have known dogs with allergies and they were put on a special diet that really helped with thier allergies.

Re: Anyones Dog ever have this?
It sounds like an allergic reaction to something. Do you bathe him or wash his bedding with detergent? Or do you bathe him often? Either of those things could cause a reaction. I used human shampoo one time when I bathed Misty and she got these weird little pimples all over and her hair fell out where they were. Now I use only dog oatmeal shampoo on her and bathe her no more than once a month.
ETA: A puggle is not really a breed - it's a mix of a beagle and pug. Pugs tend to have a lot of skin problems so you might want to research more about pugs and skin disorders.

I have a puggle and he used to have that same problem with the scratching and raised dark spot on his back. It turns out that he was allergic to wheat. Now we have him on wheat free food and snacks and the spot disappeared as well as the scratching. If you have any questions feel free to FM me.

Try changing his food. I transistioned Marley onto a new food over 7 days. In the first week on her new food, she began coughing, scratching and eventually vomitting. After a trip to the emergency vet, we switched back to her original food and all of the symptons went away.

My father had switched his food from beneful to pedigree. I had originally asked him not too b/c of all the scares with dogs food lately. But for some reason he wanted too, meanwhile Cody was doing fine on beneful
