Anyones ob only see them at 8 weeks no blood test nothing
Last time with DD they had me come in to take blood twice to make sure my numbers were rising, this time they only want to see me for the 1st ultrasound at 8 weeks...

With all 3 pregnancies I never went to the OB before 8 weeks. I got a dating sono at my first appointments only- no bloodwork.

yup thats exactly what I'm going for...
maybe I was just expecting to go since I went the first time, and then my MIL chimed in (she's a nurse) and said that's so unusual...

Maybe they'll give you the 'script' for blood then? I came in for my first appt and walked out with the paperwork for the lab then. I didn't have a sono at my first appt and (by the date of my last AF) we thought I was about 7 weeks at that point.

The OB wouldn't see me until 8 weeks. They didn't do anything to confirm beforehand. They said a HPT positive was enough to make the appointment. My GP did a blood test for me since I only did one HPT, but she said she wouldn't have even done that if I had taken two HPTs.
At my first OB appointment, they took about 6 vials of blood for different things, but not to confirm the pregnancy... the sono at the 8 week appointment made that pretty obvious.

I had a sono at my 1st appt (6 weeks) but didn't get the order for bloodwork until my next appt at 10 weeks. Every doctor is different!

Thanks ladies!! I remember them taking bloodwork, a lot of bloodwork at the 8 week appt last time too...

Me too - except this is my first pregnancy. 
He did give me a script for bloodwork though and the lab took like 20 vials of blood from me it seemed.

The same thing happened with my OB/GYN. She won't even see me until 8 weeks; no blood tests or anything to confirm. I just get scared that I will go there and they won't see anything.

Mine was the same way with my DS.
I went in at 8 weeks had a basic appt/pap, went for bloodwork, came back at 9 weeks for a sono.

Same with me - except I have only had 1 pregnancy  Went in at 9 weeks and only did a sono to see how far along I was. No blood work.

Ya mine wont' see you before 8 weeks and does no blood work even then. My practice believes that blood work really can't tell you everything and really it's about what they see at the first sono...I like that...questioning numberes and raised levels would freak me out..

I got my BFP last Thursday. Went to the dr on Saturday who took a urine test, drew a ton of bloodowork, did a full exam and did a medical history. I don't have to come back until 8 weeks where I have an OB appt with my dr and then a sonogram as well.
