Re: Anyone's peds. say no to baby lotion?
My DD is 13 months old and I still put baby lotion on her after a bath. My ped never said anything.

Re: Anyone's peds. say no to baby lotion?
My ped didn't say "No" to baby lotion, but did say some of the J&J products can be drying. DS has eczema, so I use cetaphil, aveeno, or mustela for sensitive skin lotion. Occassionally I will use the J&J baby lotion if DS has no signs of eczema, but I tend to avoid it since it is fragranced.

MY ped said no to baby lotions cause they r drying. he would rather we use aveeno, cetaphil, dove, eucerin, lubriderm, aquafor. Thicker the better. Both my girls have eczema

My Dr. said No to baby lotions becouse they have fragrence in them. baby might have a reaction. she said only to use vasaline or ercerin cream to moisterize untill they are a bit older.

How old is your DD? It is totally normal for babies who are only a few days-weeks old to be peeling. It is a result of them being in the amniotic fluid for so long and lotion wont make the peeling stop. It will eventually stop on its own. Hailey peeled for a little while but it stopped and lotion didn't make a difference at all.

She is 3 weeks old. It's so minor I just wondered if it was itchy to her. Thanks!

Actually my ped was the one that told me to put Aquaphor on DS after a bath and it has made a big difference on his skin.

I put on Ella either Mustela lotion or I will use the A&D ointment on her skin.

My ped never said no. But he did tell me no lotion would help the peeling skin when she was newborn. I massage some baby lotion on DD after bathtime before her pj's go on

Re: Anyone's peds. say no to baby lotion?
When DS was 1st born my ped said no baby lotion, like the johnsons and johnsons that is pink. He said only sensitive skin lotion in the beginning...like lubriderm and cetaphil.

Re: Anyone's peds. say no to baby lotion?
I don't use baby lotion or baby oil, but instead use Cetaphil. I have extremely sensitive skin and use it on myself so I don't worry about using it on DS. It has helped his skin out a lot.

Re: Anyone's peds. say no to baby lotion?
I asked about baby oil and my ped said it was fine...if you're worried, maybe try using the unscented lotion/oil first.
