Anyones toddlers starting to bite?
Megan has a new thing. When we want to either remove her from something or go to pick her up, she bites our hand. She never fully clamps down, its almost like she knows that if she stops mid-way, its not exactly a bite. She does it out of frustration and never just comes up to us and bites.
I am trying to be more consistent with timeouts so she understands what they are..but sometimes that doesnt work. The other day I explained to her that she gave Mommy a boo-boo (she freaks when people have "booboos") and I told her that she was going to make Mommy cry. She hugged me right away and kissed where she had gone to bite.
I was just curious as to what you do when it happens with your child? Any other ideas?

D did this for about a week. I would tell her no sternly and not to bite. Then I would remove myself from her.
Hopefully this phase passes quickly.

Noreen, Matthew did the same thing as you posted. It happened for a few weeks, and now hope it is gone. I did exactly what Jamie did.

DD bites all the time. We noticed she does it more when she is hungry. I know her teeth are bothering her so maybe one has to do with the other?
