Apparently Target is getting chewed out over the Britax error....
Their guest relations message says:
"If you are calling regarding the error with Britax, please send us an email @ [email protected], and put Britax in the subject line."
Yes, I did send them a letter.
Whether or not it seemed too good to be true, I think that they did not follow good customer service practices, and I informed them as such.

Re: Apparently Target is getting chewed out over the Britax error....
What did you guys write? Idefinitely wantto send a letter, I'm just wondering how to word it so that I get the best offer back fromthem. This is my first go at it, butIhaven't sent it on yet...
"I am writing because I am extremely upset at how this situation was handled, or rather mishandled. I am understanding of the fact that mistakes happen, but I have a hard time understanding how it took a full day for such a mistake to be found. I was under the impression that the granite pattern was discontinued, as well as the cowmooflage pattern. I am appalled that no better deal than full price was offered for the car seat. I would like to know how you plan on compensating your customers for this bait and switch technique. If I do not feel this is handled appropriately, I will have no issue filing a complaint with the BBB."

Re: Apparently Target is getting chewed out over the Britax error....
Here's mine - a little dramatic, and I didn't spend much time on it here at work so it probably doesn't make complete sense, but they'll get the point (if they're even reading them ):
To Whom It May Concern: I would like to express my deep disappointment in the manner in which the Britax carseat situation was handled. When I came to Target online to purchase a carseat for my 8 month old son, I was delighted to see such a deep discount. While I thought the price was amazing, I had witnessed such spectular prices from Target in the past so I did not hesitate to order - several. I was thrilled and purchased a couple for my next child and 3 more for gifts - a total of 6 carseats in Granite. I was happy to call friends and let them know I had bought them a carseat and quite honestly mortified to have to call them yesterday to say I could no longer afford the carseat as my order was canceled. Not only was this order canceled - it was canceled WITHOUT notice. Why would any professional business delete an order from their system without notifying their customer? As if the order was never placed? This was not my first Target order. I spend a lot of money at Target (you're welcome to review my Target credit card to know I spend several hundred dollars a month at your store). I am a very regular customer. I purchase baby products, home products, food and clothing at your store. I had a baby registry with you and have a current holiday wish list set up for my son. Now I wonder - should I delete my wish list? Will family purchase gifts for my son and encounter such a problem? I am now faced with a dilemma with making future purchases at your store. I have lost confidence in the store and was extremely disappointed to learn, when I called to inquire about my canceled order, I was told nothing more than "this was a computer glitch". No further explanation or offer to make up for the mistake that was on your end, not the consumer's. Furthermore, I have learned that some people have received shipping confirmations and are receiving a Britax seat at a deep discount. It is plain and simply BAD BUSINESS to send some and not all. Please let me know what will be done to restore my trust in your business. Please reassure me that this was a unique case and please give me a reason to continue spending my hard earned money at your store. I hope to hear from one of your customer service representatives in a timely fashion.
ETS: I heart Target so really they won't lose my business - I just am hoping for a better explanation and perhaps a small gift card
