Apple Picking - any orchards with apples left?
Our family was supposed to go apple picking a couple of weekends ago, when the weather was beautiful. Unfortunately, something came up and we weren't able to go. This upcoming weekend was the next possible time we could go. I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any orchards that still have decent apple availability? I guess if you went this past Sunday or Columbus Day and know there was or wasn't, that would be very helpful. Thanks!

I only know some good ones in NJ. Not sure if you're willing to travel. I'm sure there are plenty on LI that pple will recommend.

We went here on Sunday. Mason is only 4 1/2 months old so it was perfect. It's a farm. There's a lot of other farms in the area too. I grew up there and my parents still live therehttp://www.battlevieworchards.com/

There was a lot... we were there on Sunday and still plenty. You can always call and ask too

There was a lot... we were there on Sunday and still plenty. You can always call and ask too

That's good to know. How is Hank's? I know my 8 1/2 month old won't benefit from a lot of the kiddie stuff, but it still looks like a fun place.

Forget about that question. I just went on the website. It says no more apple picking.

Try the Milk Pail in Watermill. We went last Saturday and there was still tons of apples, including varieties that weren't ripe yet and so close off to the public for picking. Check out their website, they will tell you what varieties they still have available.
