Aquarium/Rainforest in Crib
How do you guys feel about having these in the crib (sorry I cant think of what they are really called). My son turns it on, but I am not sure if it helps, or just distracts him. Sometimes, he will even bump his head into it when he sleeps...what do you guys think?

Re: Aquarium/Rainforest in Crib
We have ours in the crib too. But it's at the end where DS puts his feet. He can (and does) squirm down and kick it on, but only when he wakes up. He has done it a couple of times at nap time, but it has not distracted him too much.
Our biggest concern now is when we sit him in the crib (when changing the changing pad cover, putting clothes away, etc) he squirms his way over to it and tries to either pull himslef up using it or tries to pull it off! I swear we have the next World's Strongest Man!

Haha...that's a good idea to put it at the bottom. I have it right on the side where he can turn it on. But maybe I should move it...

Re: Aquarium/Rainforest in Crib
We went to put it in and is specifically stated there needed to be 7 inches between the bottom of it and the mattress, due to a possible suffocation hazard. No matter what we did, our crib wasn't high enough, unless I dropped the mattress to another level. So we brought it back to the store.

I have it attached to the back, top crib railing. I use it for her only to sleep. I put it on when I put her down. It's become part of her routine and she finds in soothing.

My boys are 15 months old and still have it in their cribs...it is very soothing to them, sometimes Matthew will wake up in the middle of the night(no crying) and will stand up and put it back on and he puts himself back to sleep, or when they wake up in the morning they put it on for awhile until they are ready to start the day. They are GREAT
