Are ALL days during Thanksgiving weekend terrible for travel by car?
I would really like to visit a friend in PA during TG weekend. He is less than 2 hours from us without traffic, according to Google Map. DH claims that it is a terrible idea because all days during TG weekend will be murderous on the road. Is he right?

Sorry, but he might be right. Lots of people take the Friday after for a long weekend, plus it is the biggest shopping weekend of the year.

We have gone upstate Thanksgiving weekend and we have found that the best day to travel is on Thanksiving Day itself early in the morning. I guess people are already where they need to be or not on their way yet. Coming home on Sunday is brutal, Saturday is better.
