Are gliders big enough for your DH?
I don't really want a glider, I want an upholstered rocker arm chair, but our nursery isn't that big and we may only have room for a glider. I sat in one over the weekend to try it out, and it was the perfect size for me, but I'm worried that DH won't fit in it (he's 6'1" and 220 lbs). Does your DH have any problems sitting comfortably in your glider?

My DH isn't tall but he's stocky. He fits fine. We got ours at USA Baby, its made by Best Chairs and its very comfy.

there was one at bbb that was larger then the normal gliders that would probably fit a big person.

Ok, cool. I may also drag DH out to test some gliders. Thanks!

Re: Are gliders big enough for your DH?
i'm tiny, and since i will be the one primarily using the glider i needed it to fit me. DH isn't a giant and says he finds it comfy as well. i just needed to watch out for the bigger models as it was hard to get in and out and my feet didn't touch the floor !

Not to hijack but for those that have tall hubbies do people ALWAYS make tall comments? Mine is 6'4 1/2 and EVERYONE is always saying-hey tall guy, hows the weather up there?

I got an upholstered rocker-recliner from La-Z-Boy. It's SO comfortable! I don't think it really takes up more room than a glider. You can get a lot of the La-Z-Boys as a glider as well.

Re: Are gliders big enough for your DH?
My DH is a big guy, and that was one of my concerns too. There were some choices out there that were bigger than the one we got, which I now wish we had bought instead. He says that he is fine in the one we have, but we'll see how much he actually uses it once the baby is here. We got it at a really good price, and he said that as long as I like it and am comfortable in it, that's all that matters. We'll see in a couple of months...
