When you say light- how light?
I have seen light wash all the time- but they are mainly ripped.
I have a hard time finding a lighter wash denim that isn't destroyed.
Or are you talking about bleached out almost white?
That one seems to be a newer trend.

For example- I like the wash on these- I would totally wear them for casual jeans...
But no way with those rips and tears... no way.

I cannot wait for it to end. But it's been going on for so long I worry it will never go away.
It limits me because even if I wanted to wear ripped jeans (I don't) I couldn't wear them to work, a decent restaurant, church....places I can wear a nice pair of jeans.
The ones I posted above...that whole website has not ONE pair of jeans that aren't torn to shreds.
So frustrating

I saw a girl wearing a pair that were so shredded they looked like they were being held on her body by 2 threads.
At that point- throw on a pair of shorts. Because that's about as much coverage as you are getting in those torn up monstrosities you are wearing.
Why this trend has held on for as long as it has is beyond me. It needs to go away.

I bought these from Kohls, Lauren conrad brand in the light wash and destructed pink. super cute and very comfy
Ripped jeans
i dont like the jeans that are full on destructed, rips up half the thigh, etc

Also, if I have to shave my legs, it totally defeats the purpose of wearing jeans.

I have a ripped pair but it only has a few rips and there is jean material behind the rip. I like them. They are a lighter wash also...

I’m not sure. I don’t see them being worn so much by me. I always liked a dark wash, but I always like dark clothing and it’s all I really wear, so there’s that.
I like the ripped jeans trend  . Not too ripped, though. Just a few here and there. Well, I have one pair that has a lot of rips and is ripped on the bottom. But I roll up the bottom. I got them on sale for like 10 bucks, so I kept them.

I like a lighter/medium wash and tend to wear them half the time. I have also seen them in like a lighter powdery finish -- no rips.
Im not a fan of ripped jeans either.

I don't think I can pull that color off so I never buy them but for people who can, go for it. I like ripped jeans, to a point. A few light rips here and there is nice, when they're basically hanging on by a thread, I think it's ridiculous.
