Is that the same as the Int'l Bac? If so, Northport HS has that program.

I did a search on the IB site and it looks like Commack, Locust Valley, Northport, and Rockville Center are the only ones that offer the program on LI.
Having worked in college admissions though, I can say that many students with AP credits come in with more college credits than the IB program students.

Whats this British Curriculum all about then??? I am intrigued! hehe. I was interested in a brit curriculum school for my DC when the time comes. I was home tutored by my English grandmother (who was a teacher in England) and IMO the curriculum here is a little behind there.
Also there are more essay-type tests as opposed to multiple choice, and certain subjects are taught from a process/understanding point of view rather than a memorization method.

Singapore has a great math curriculum if you can get your hands on it...much better than anywhere else.

Re: Are their any British Curriculum schools on LI?
i am amazed at how different the British curriculum is. I work with a few teachers and they taught in England for a few years. hearing how they have to teach over there is pretty strict. they often get observed and something about how they have to write their objective and aim on the board (the kids ask for it). the kids want to know why they are doing and what is its purpose.

Really? Maybe the schools vary within Singapore. I used to work in a Center that studies k-6 math curriculum and unfortunately, the US is pretty awful, and everyone loved Singapore.
