Are there jobs with flexible hours/days?

My husband works 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift and never has the same days off. I have been working at a company for 5 years now that is moving the department to a different town. I will be jobless. Currently, my job lets me work around my husband's craziness. I work all different kinds of hours.

We can't afford daycare and have no family on Long Island to help. I just don't see how a 9-5 job is going to work for me financially.

Any ideas? TIA!

ETA: I know I posted this before, but just looking for more ideas. Also, can someone give me names of temp agencies? I know crap about LI.

per diem subbing in a school. You can really pick and chose what you want. If you can get on lists for a few districts then you have even more choices.

I believe that you can sub 40-45 days a year without having a teaching certification. (but must have a BA)

Lloyd Staffing.

I would just do a google search and make a list and then apply to all of them.


I also agree with the retail jobs. They are probably more likely to be flexible in the hrs/days.
