Are there NO good deals in Vegas in October??
Is that just a bad time to go because everyone is going?? Everything is so expensive! How do I find better deals? Anyone knows any secrets? I always hear of people finding great prices on hotel rooms, at least and I just don't!
Any ideas from seasoned Vegas Travelers?

When we went, we went from Sunday-Thurs. Even though it was Memorial day weekend it was much cheaper than the weekend.

October is a big convention month in Vegas.
I remember when I was planning a trip out there for a friends wedding that was during October.
Not only was it hard to find a hotel room, the prices were

There is a huge convention the week of October 18th, if that's the week you are looking, it's at the Sands.

When are you looking to go? My friend has a huge tradeshow in the beginning of October. You should look up to see what tradeshows are in town and go to their event websites. They always get deals with different hotels if you're attending the show. The hotel doesn't need to know you're not really going to the show. You might get the show daily and other crap at your door every morning though.

MY ILS are going in October. They said they got a good deal but had to try a few different dates first. They are now going the last week of hte month.
Try various dates...

Thank you, all! The problem was that I couldn't really change the dates at all: we were trying to go there for my birthday. Oh well... On to the next destination
