Are these movies appropriate for a 10 year old girl?
I don't have kids yet and really have no clue what they like..
I bought 2 movies (in addition to the rest of her gift) the Siterhood of the travelling Pants & cinderella story with hillary duff. They are both PG but I didn't see either...
Are these ok?

I think the sisterhood movie maybe a little grown up for a 10 year old. It deals with death, coming of age, first love, etc.
I never saw the other one.
Maybe check with the parents for something they knew their daughter would enjoy.

thanks for your reply! She was tough to buy for because I know she's in the stage where she doesn't really like "kid" stuff anymore ans wants to be a teenager..
I'm headed to the party in about an hour so can't ask her mom.. figured I'd ask on here since everyone is always so helpful!

I wish i knew the answers for you. I read the Sisterhood books and i'm not positive if a 10 year old would 'get' them...like the pp said - they're a LITTLE more mature than 10...
Any chance you can return them and maybe get her a blockbuster gift card to get herself a movie or two that's to her liking???

Thanks for your help! I guess i will nix the sisterhood movie and just give her the hillary duff movie (with gift receipt) along with the rest of the stuff I bought (clothes & purse she wanted).

how about the movie enchanted? its a really cute movie that starts out a cartoon then turns into a real movie
I loved it  Im a big kid at heart but its really cute!

I teach 4th grade and I refuse to let me students read the book The Sisterhood of the Traveling pans so I would say no to the movie too

I would say the first movie is a little too adult for a 10yr old. On the other hand, kids these days are growing up so fast, and they have probably seen worse movies then "The sisterhood of the traveling Pants".

The Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants deals with the loss of virginity. I don't know if I would give that to a 10 year old.
I think Enchanted is a great choice!

While my 10 yr. old dd is not interested in that movie, I have to agree with you that she probably has seen worse and on regular TV, mind you :(
