Are those scented pine cones poisonous to dogs??
When I got home for lunch today I came home to find the dogs (well, most likely Shelby but I can't be 100% sure) got into a vase that I had filled with those cinnamon scented pine cones and they ate/shredded all of them!

Here is the number for the ASPCA Poison Control Center:
(888) 426-4435
Good luck!!
ETA: This was on the website, so you may be charged... which is weird to me...
As the premier animal poison control center in North America, the APCC is your best resource for any animal poison-related emergency, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you think that your pet may have ingested a potentially poisonous substance, make the call that can make all the difference: (888) 426-4435. A $60 consultation fee may be applied to your credit card.

Well, she seems fine as does Arnold. She pooped and there were the little pieces of pine cone. Not to be gross, but it was alittle softer than normal, but then again the dog ate CINNAMON SCENTED PINE CONES!!!!
I think she'll be ok.
The upside to this whole debacle is that her breath is cinnamon scented now!

Hell, I'll take cinnamon scented over what we had here last week!
Glad to hear that there's no major issues. Hopefully the silly pup learned her lesson!

Hope your pup is just fine!
Curious - can't you just call your vet to ask a question? Forgive me if that's a silly question, as I haven't had a housepet in a while. With my horse's vets, though, I can call to ask a question if necessary and don't even get charged for that. Do small animal vets do the same thing?
I'm glad that it sounds liike your pup is okay, though!!

Yes, I called the vet. Trust me, this is NOT the first time I've had to do that and in the event that something happens after hours, I don't hesitate to call the emergency vet.
Believe me, calling the vet is something I do first. I just threw it out here to see what the posters had to say.
