are we too picky....we couldn't find a puppy at nsal....
i feel like such a brat, but they had nothing we loved yesterday when we went....i was dumbfoundd as dh and i thought for sure we'd be going home with not one but two dogs..... ....but there was nothing we fell in love with, and we don't want to get a dog, just to get one.....will we ever find the right pet??

you're not too picky! We went to NSAL 2 times and didn't find a pet

you are NOT being picky...a pet is part of your family and needs to "fit". When you find it/them, you'll know it!
I found my pug/beagle mix on petfinder and went to go visit him. Every Sat or Sun petsmart and petco do adpotions....try going to them!

dont feel bad, and dont settle for anything. The right puppy will come along, and that puupy will be so lucky to have you as his/her mom and dad

dont just settle. it takes time to find the perfect pup.
and youll KNOW when you see "the one"
I got lucky with Luk. He was at hte first breeder i saw.
But Tink.... forgetaboutit! I looked soooo long for breeders and puppies from breeders!
Took a good couple of months. When i saw her pic i knew she was mine.
Same thing goes for Dharma. I was searching for breeders b/c i wanted a CC, but not until we moved... then i came across her pic and it was instant. i said "Shes my dog!" and i had her 2 weeks later. it just stinks i have 3 dogs in a small place, but its good.
it was meant to be. just like your puppy is out there somewhere.... or amybe not evn born yet, but he/shes there!

Lolita4life's dogs had puppies
and theyre fixed now, so no more puppies.
Oh yeah... are you looking for a specific type of dog, or type of mix? i am a geek in the dog world and have connections. i can ask around if i know the right ppl for you.
also, try Craigslist.
