are you a nervous nelly?
Do you consider yourself a nervous mom? Were you a really nervous and cautious while you were pregnant? I don't consider myself nervous at all. I never gasp when DS falls and I could pretty much care less about germs. While I was preggo I was really laid back too. I ate pretty much anything I wanted (except sushi) and I was known to have an occasional glass of wine with no guilt. Where do you fit in on the nervous meter?

I'm exactly like you are --both while pregnant and as a mom.

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I'm pretty laid back w/ her, was the same way when pregnant (except initially). I sometimes worry when she is w/ other people (mom, MIL) but mainly that they are keeping her sked (bedtime, feeding, etc.)

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
Nope not at all.
My DH on the other hand is very nervous when it comes to Steven and I'm about to hurt him (DH) because it's so annoying.

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I was pretty laid back during my pregnancy and I'm getting a lot more laid back now...I was a little nervous at the beginning bc I had no clue what i was doing lol...changing a diaper was such a chore...especially since DS's legs kept going as if he was running off somewhere...I think once I go back to work I might be a little more worried at first since DS will be staying with my mom and SIL...but then I'm sure I'll get used to it all.

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I am a complete and total nervous nelly!!!
Always was, and always will be!!
It's a wonder how I make it through life, especially now as a mother, without having a nervous breakdown!!
I do have to say that I was better than I thought I would be during pregnancy and so far as a mom!!!

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I think I'm off the nervous meter altogether. Its just not my nature. I'm not a big worrier, as a preggo or as a mom.

Same here except for the wine.
ETA: I do run to her when she goes into a hysterical cry, which is not when she gets hurt physically, it's when her feelings get hurt, she's very sensitive and it breaks my heart.

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I'm way more laid back now about him choking, and don't care if he gets dirty or the dogs kiss him at all (gotta pick my battles). I still wince when he coughs because of his breathing issues. But I think I'm more laid back than most, and definitely more than I used to be. What a difference a year makes!

Not a nervous nelly at all. At times, I am so laid back, it's probably not good!

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I ate pretty much everything except sushi when I was preggo with Julia, with this pregnancy I'm more careful because I have to watch my BP and how much weight I gain.
I still wipe Julia's hands when she comes inside from playing or when we leave a store, I'd rather not sit home with a sick kid, so I always make sure to wash her hands good.

I am pretty laid back. I thought I would be a really nervous mom but I am the complete opposite.

Re: are you a nervous nelly?
I am pretty laid back when I am with DS, if he falls I dont gasp or make a big deal about it. If he really does get hurt I am attentive and I comfort him. I am a germophobic though. Yes, I do wash his hands after people touch him or he touches public stuff. And why not!! It cold/flu season....I rather be safe then sorry. Having a sick baby is not fun!

When I was pregnant I did not eat sushi, drink, eat unpasturized products, I limited my coldcuts, I pretty much followed the rules. I wouldnt do anything that may endanger my DS.
